B: Houses
16: How do I leave my house?
The foot "kicking" a door button is how you exit from your house and from any other building you happen to enter.
17: Where is my house?
Every new character starts with a house is the Novice District which is the northern portion of the city on the island of Larkinor.
18: Can I buy another house?
You can buy a new house in the Palace , which is located in the city centre.
19: How do I prevent robbers from taking my stuff?
Traps are purchased in the backroom of the Fortress . Regardless of the trap types and trap levels you purchase, you should still expect the occasional rob.
20: Why doesn't my magic chair work?
The magic chair in a Novice District has not been magically charged and therefore will not replenish your hitpoints or manapoints. Purchase a new home.
21: What are the advantages of the different houses?
The nine different houses available for purchase have different storage capacities and contain different magical chairs. Magical chairs replenish various amounts of hitpoints or manapoints, and some replenish both to varying degrees. Some magical chairs will also cure different calamities. Read the various house descriptions when purchasing your house for full details.
22: How do I stop the city guards robbing my house?
Once you reach level 18, the city guards will rob something from your Novice District house each time you go home. This is their way of "encouraging" you to buy a house in another district since you are no longer a novice.
23: Can I increase the storage capacity of my house?
You can either buy a new house with a larger capacity or you can build (or purchase) extra houseparts. Each extra housepart that you leave in your house will increase the overall capacity of the house by 1kg.
24: What does the message "you find your unsellable items from the market" mean?
The market is used by many people to store items, as it is a little safer than leaving them in their houses and hoping they won't be robbed. The main disadvantage of this is that there is only a certain amount of space on the market for each type of item. Only 20 offers for each type of item will be held on the market at any given time. When someone posts the 21st lot of that same item, the most expensive lot is automatically bumped from the market to the owner's house, resulting in the "you find your unsellable items from the market" message.
25: What does the "bettlers of Larkinor" message mean?
When items are bumped from the market, the game checks the weight of the items being bumped to your house. If you do not have the capacity to store the items in your house, the items are "given" to the less well off people of Larkinor. ("Bettler" means "beggar" in German.) You cannot get these items back.
26: How long can I live in the Novice District?
You can stay in the Novice District indefinitely, but once you reach level 18 you will be visited with alarming frequency by the city guards, who will help themselves to your items. So the best advice would be to buy a new house before you reach level 18!
