The balloon floats around Larkinor waiting to be grabbed by characters. When in your possession it will give directions to a hidden reward. Once you have found the reward, seven other characters must use the balloon and find the reward before you can find another. The balloon can also be used to fly over walls, and it replenishes hitpoints and manapoints to 100% with every step. Obviously with so many perks, the balloon is a highly-prized item in the game and difficult to hold on to for any length of time.
