Private forums for clans can be created upon request. First, create your clan in Larkinor so we can all see it in the palace. Next, the clan's forum leader (doesn't have to be the leader of the clan) posts the request in this thread.
If it seems like a legitimate request, a moderator will set up the private forum. The clan's forum leader then adds all the members to the private forum, and away you go.

Okay, all set up. Once your clan mates arrive and create a forum account, they can request permission by clicking the link under your clan name. You, the group leader, can give users permission by clicking that same link. It should be pretty straight forward.

Okay, it's set up. People gain access to the clan forum by being part of a group. If you're not sure how to add/approve people to that group, read my responses above.
As a clan forum leader and moderator, you may also find the following phpBB moderator documentation useful:
